Your Weekly Horoscope: Opportunity Is Coming, but Be Careful of Mercury’s Retrograde
March 11 – March 17, 2019
Heading into the second week of March, you may feel some excitement around the idea of positive change and expanding your horizons. On the other hand, you might also begin to feel the effects of dynamic Mercury in its retrograde phase, which began last week, and may lend to some unexpected events.
Midweek, the radiant sun (the planet of self) aligns positively with Pluto (the planet of inevitable change), which can encourage you to let go of the lesser in order to embrace the greater. In addition, the sun’s angle to Jupiter (the planet of opportunity) could mean you’re tempted by far horizons and the promise of something new.
On Thursday, fiery Mars aligns with practical Saturn which gives you the opportunity to accomplish anything in your path. Plus, Thursday’s quarter moon in Gemini may be a chance to consider whether you’re happy with your progress on a goal. If so, go full steam ahead!
Starting Friday and through the weekend, you may be presented with choices that are quite different from what you thought you wanted. They could be pleasantly exciting, however.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)
Because the sun is moving through Aries’s spiritual sector, you may find yourself becoming increasingly introspective this week, which is beneficial for you. So, instead of asking others for advice, self-reflection may be the way to go this time. But don’t plan for things to start taking off until after Mercury’s retrograde phases out—this won’t be a good time to make decisions anyway!
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
This week could bring out your social side, Taurus. In fact, you might even consider hosting a party. You’ll be feeling pretty proactive with the sun and Pluto alignment, especially on Thursday which proves to be the best day to get sh*t done. Lastly, it’ll be important for you to rely on yourself for accurate information with Mercury in its retrograde phase.
Gemini (May 21 – June 30)
Hold tight: this week will bring out your natural indecisiveness. A goal you once had isn’t looking as appealing these days, but what you really need to be cautious of is going around in circles—so easy to do during Mercury’s retrograde! To temper yourself, try some meditative activities like exercise or spending time in nature.

Additionally, Thursday brings in an interesting social event for you, Cancer…

By Thursday you should be feeling much more grounded, with a determination to accomplish the things you’ve been waiting on. Most important though, is that someone from your past may show up at your doorstep this weekend.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
Take a step back, Virgo. Your giving nature has you helping others a lot lately; remember that not everyone has your best interest in mind. Now is the time, especially with Mercury turned retrograde, for you to stay discerning about who to give your attention to. By the weekend, you may feel a little overbooked. Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
The sun is traveling through your home zone this week, which makes you feel a little less FOMO and a lot more like staying home. And with Mars in Sagittarius’s sector of wellness, it’s best to listen to what your body needs. Mercury in retrograde is traveling through your domestic sector, so channel your inner Marie Kondo and start de-cluttering this weekend.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
The Capricorn in you always wants to sort out everything that’s happening in your life. Luckily, there’s an emphasis on your sector of communication this week which might give you the courage to ask for any information you need. The best part is that with Mercury connecting with Pluto, there’s opportunity for a conversation that can lead to much-needed personal healing.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
As the sun continues through your money sector, finances will remain a key priority. Yes, you know you’ve been spending a lot, and you know that now is the time to get back on track. But with Mercury retrograde in your money zone, that may be difficult this weekend. Stay strong, Aquarius! Finally, Uranus in your home and family sector has you considering more major changes regarding moving in the weeks ahead.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
With this Mercury retrograde phase, your best interest lies in tying up any loose ends that are still weighing you down. It’s best to finalize plans or resolve relationship issues. On that spectrum, you might get into an intense conversation this week that could spark change. That Pisces self-doubt is creeping in toward the weekend, so take it easy and don’t make hasty decisions.
