Life is too short to waste your time doing tasks you hate (and don't you know it)! Find a job you love by first weeding out the ones you don't. And be very set on avoiding those!
Your brash, risk-taking style won't sit well with an employer who expects you to follow very strict guidelines. And admit it - you'd fume and be on edge if subjected to the pettiness of a micro-manager.
Nix any jobs that are repetitive or boring, as well as any project with a final goal some decades in the future... so perhaps not designing a rover for Pluto?
You need to see fast results on at least some projects. And you definitely need to show off your creativity!
