Green Day may sound like an upbeat and fun-loving punk band, but lead singer-songwriter and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong isn't always filled with joy.
Though his band is internationally successful, Armstrong struggled with alcoholism and substance abuse, having meltdowns on tour and finally losing it publicly at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in 2012. After a stint in rehab, the band was able to reschedule missed tour dates and get back on track.
And in true Aquarius fashion, Armstrong has rejuvenated his career in theater, staging American Idiot as a musical on Broadway and around the world.
