Once a book worm, now a master storyteller...

Short story master Alice Munro once said she was brought up to believe that the worst thing you could do was "call attention to yourself." That certainly didn't stop her from becoming one of the most famous writers in the world!

In 2013 the Canadian won the Nobel Prize for literature after writing for some seven decades. A few months before she won she talked about retiring!

"That's a long time to be working, and I thought maybe it's time to take it easy." Now she is having second thoughts. "[The award] may change my mind," said the brilliant tale teller. "Now and then I get an idea."

Her many fans are glad!
