As an astrologer, one of the most popular questions I get during a reading is ‘when will I find love’. This is of course follows closely behind ‘when will I have babies’ and ‘wtf is happening with my career’. Funny enough, I really freaking love these types of questions! Being able to look into potential time periods when the universe is conspiring to make huge changes in one’s life is my most favorite part about astrology. It’s actually what got me interested in Astrology in the first place. A few years back, I wanted to know when the most optimum time was for me to experience a significant relationship. I found that nothing more than casual dating was in my chart for the next few years (gasp!), as it was all about setting a foundation for my career. I think this really helped me to focus on self-growth, development and self-care in a way that I probably would not have otherwise.
Actually, that’s a half truth. First, I decided to be incredibly stubborn, ignore the wave and try to date anyway. I set up 30 days of dating, where I would go out to a different place to meet guys. I even made an excel document to recruit wing women and pick places. It failed. Miserably. I picked up no one. My game was sooo off, it wasn’t even funny. So, after the experiment, I decided to just trust what my chart was saying and ride the wave. And because the universe has a sense of humor, when I finally did meet someone, every major event coincided with a significant aspect of my chart that had to do with love. If I wasn’t a believer by then, that would have absolutely convinced me.
But, before I go into more detail about what to look for, I want to clarify something regarding astrology, fate/destiny and free will, and my personal views. When I am looking at someone’s chart, all I am looking for is potential. I am not looking to tell them hard and cold facts about their destiny or fate. I am looking for ways to help them ride the wave of the universe. There are many ways of doing this including following your intuition, tarot cards, runes, pendulums, all of which will help you tap into your own inner wisdom, Astrology is just my favorite. Either way, I liken reviewing someone’s natal chart to looking at the weather forecast, instead of physical weather, I am looking for emotional weather. Just like a meteorologist looks to see if there will be rain, snow, sunshine coming up so that you can plan your schedule, I’m looking to see how the planets could be influencing your emotions and what areas of life the focus will fall. The weather lady tells you it will be sunny today, snow tomorrow and rain the following day, then maybe you will decide to get some groceries to prep to be inside the next two days. Or maybe you won’t, and you don’t mind running out in the snow. In a reading, I might tell you there is a lot of energy happening in your career sector, and there might be some opportunities you can capitalize on now, but the summer is better for chasing boys. You might decide to dig deep into work and give your dating apps a break, or you might ignore me and increase your dating activity. In both scenarios, it will probably all end up the same a few weeks later, but you might have caused yourself some extra trouble or frustration by ignoring the weather, astrological and physical. Perhaps, you decided not to prepare for the storm, ran out of water and had to go out into the snow to see all the stores had closed. Or, you decided to focus on boys over career, and blew off a networking event for a date that ended up being lame. In the end, you went against the flow causing yourself some delays, setbacks or sidetracks that could be avoided. So, my goal is to just share information about the potential of your chart. But, remember, You ALWAYS have the ability to use your free will, as all things always comes back to you, what you want, what you are looking to create in your life and how you hold yourself back. As an astrologer, I want to help you with timing that allows you to create the life of your dreams.
With that said, I really want to chat with you about the timing for finding love. When I’m looking to see when the potential is high for a significant relationship to enter someone’s life, I look for a couple key indicators. So without further ado, here are the top 5 astrological interactions I look for when looking for love in a chart.
Your 5th House is Lit
When your 5th house is lit up like a Christmas tree, with many planets passing through it, the universe is telling you it’s time to have some FUN. This is the time for play, dating, creativity, flirting. It’s almost like the universe sprinkled some fairy dust on you. Meeting and greeting should be super easy, with very little effort required. When I see planets like Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, the Sun or even a New Moon happening in someone’s Fifth House of Love, Romance and Creativity, I expect to see them shining when it comes to dating. This is heightened even more when harmonious aspects are connecting with planets in the 5th house. So if Jupiter is in the 7th House making a 60 degree angle to Venus in the 5th House, I tell folks to make sure they leave the house looking their best, prepared to collect numbers.
Your 7th House is Lit
Similar to the 5th House, the 7th House relates to love in Astrology. The biggest difference is this is where serious relationships are experienced in the chart. The 5th house is all about dating and romance, the 7th house is all about long term partnerships and marriage. When someone asks me about when a serious relationship is coming up, I look to see where Saturn is. If I find him in the 7th house, I know that this person will be looking for something serious and long term, as this is the lesson their soul wants them to focus on right now. Often folks will marry or at the least get engaged with this transit. Other planets I love to see in this part of the chart is Jupiter. He brings expansion and good fortune, which naturally makes it easier to find a relationship with this aspect. A New Moon here could indicate the start of a new chapter of your love life as well.
Saturn & Venus
Saturn harmoniously interacting with Venus could absolutely indicate a significant relationship in the near future. Saturn represents commitment, responsibility, discipline, and Venus represents loveeee. When these two team up, you end up with some sort of love commitment. Saturn is all about pushing you into adulthood and/or soul growth. Romantic relationships is definitely one of those things that helps us do exactly this.
Jupiter & Venus
Similar to when Saturn and Venus team up, when Jupiter and Venus team up, it can definitely bring some sparkle to your love life. The energy of Jupiter might not be as serious as that of Saturn, but it sure does bring its own magic to the party. You’ll feel your options for love increase under a harmonious interaction with Venus the ruler of love and money and Jupiter the lord of expansion and good luck. Angles that are most harmonious are sextiles (60 degrees), trines (120 degrees), conjunctions (0 degrees).
Progressed Moon in the 7th House
Last but not least is the progressed moon. I love to look at other aspects in a progressed chart but my most favorite is the progressed moon! The progressed moon takes 2-3 years to move through a house, and therefore takes 27-30 years to make a full rotation around the chart. When I see the Progressed Moon going through the 7th house, I feel like something significant will happen in that person’s love life. And mostly it does!! I’ve seen so many people enter into very serious, often marriage bound relationships during this progression.
Now that you are equipped with some of my fool proof aspects to look for, be sure to drop us a note and let us know if you see anything cool coming up for you. Plus, one final way to test out the energy is to back track and look at your chart on the dates of significant relationship changes for you. You can start to see patterns that you can look for in the future.
