Once the dieter goes off the regimen, the weight usually comes right back – and yo-yo dieting is said to put more strain on the system than just keeping the few extra pounds.
Of course, if all you want is to fit into a special dress for a romantic evening, fad dieting for a week or so just might produce the results you want. But if you’re seeking to lose those pounds for good – AND increase your level of health – there is only one surefire way: Eat less and exercise more.
Some foodstuffs, such as flaxseed oil, green tea and wheat grass juice, seem to stimulate metabolism and boost the weight loss process. However, using them alone isn’t enough. You still have to change your diet – and we don’t mean giving up nutritious foods and living on junk.
We can make it a bit easier for you. To start with, here’s a tip that only astrologers are aware of: Start your diet on the day of the Full Moon, or the day or two following. The principle behind the science of astrology is “As above, so below.”

Gemini: If you have a weight problem, it’s probably because you eat on the run more often than not – and fast foods are among the highest in fat and calories. You can, however, seek out fast food joints that offer healthful alternatives. Find a few that concentrate on gourmet sandwiches rather than greasy hamburgers. Or tasty veggie wraps rather than fried chicken. You’ll find that you like those lighter meals better anyway.
Cancer: You love to cook, and the best part of that is sampling your tasty creations before serving them. You don’t want to serve anyone anything that tastes strange or less than comforting! Virgo: You’re health conscious by nature, so if you want to lose weight, it’s probably only a matter of five or ten pounds. Sagittarius: As an athletic Archer, exercise is probably the least of your problems. You tend to run rather than walk. But you do enjoy your food, and you may gain weight in the winter when inclement weather forces you to slow down.
