Tragedy didn't make this Cancer singer lose hope...

Linda Ronstadt has won countless accolades, including eleven Grammy Awards, in her long career. At various times called America's best known singer, "most successful," and "highest paid woman" in rock, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

In 2013 she revealed that she has Parkinson's disease and can no longer sing. Her melodic voice that spanned several octaves will be missed, but there are still her nearly 40 albums to enjoy - from rock hits to standards to Mexican folk songs. And she has given her fans one more gift - her heartfelt book, Simple Dreams: A Musical Memoir.

"Whatever it is, there's blessings and there's disadvantages of [every age], and I want the genuine blessings," she says.
