Your Weekly Love Island Horoscope: This Week in the Villa
Make us a preferred source
This week in the villa, everyone is questioning their connection, pulling the old bait
and switch, or has managed to find themselves in or around a love triangle. Feelings
are evolving at warp speed, trust is hanging on by a thread, and the one promised
constant here is that things can change at any moment.
The emotional center of the villa remains Melanie, Sincere, and Sol. The week
began with what looked like a clean break between Melanie and Sincere as she was
newly coupled up with Corbin. Despite this, she refuses to share a bed with him
because her heart still belongs to Sincere, however she opens up to Corbin’s
embrace, leading to kisses and confusion as their connection is overlapping with the
unfinished business between himself and Kenzie.
Melanie admits she genuinely likes Sincere and can envision something with him
outside of the villa, while Sincere confesses that he misses waking up next to her
and thinks about her constantly. The problem is he also keeps telling Sol that she’s
the person he wants.
While Sincere insists he’s simply being honest and exploring both connections, he’s
somehow managed to leave both women confused about where they stand. Sol
eventually reaches her breaking point by the end of the week, calling him dishonest
after discovering his conversations with Melanie weren’t nearly as closed ended as
she believed. Once we reach the love letter challenge where you can only declare
your love for one islander, both women write to Sincere, and he ultimately chooses to
rekindle the connection he had with Melanie, leaving Sol to be partnered with Caleb.
Then there’s the love triangle we have between Corbin, Kenzie, and Melanie.
Kenzie has been trying to give Caleb a fair chance, repeatedly saying she
appreciates how similar they are and how safe she feels with him. But every time
Corbin enters the equation, all of that logic seems to disappear. Their chemistry is
undeniable, their flirtation never really stops, and despite multiple conversations
about respecting Melanie’s feelings, they somehow keep ending up in secret
makeout sessions, prioritizing their romantic impulses over whatever consequences follow.
Corbin doesn’t exactly simplify matters. Despite Melanie still yearning for Sincere’s
affections, she seems to relax in to exploring her connection with Corbin with an
open mind. However, at one point, he reassures Melanie that he’s earning her trust
and even implies that Kenzie is the one pushing their flirtation forward. Later, he’s
right back making out with Kenzie and agreeing to keep it hidden because, in his
words, the repercussions don’t matter.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Caleb may be this season’s most patient man.
Despite watching Kenzie sit on Corbin’s lap, flirt with him openly, and repeatedly
question her feelings, he continues giving her space to figure things out. He even
makes her heart shaped pancakes while she openly admits she’s tired of bouncing
between connections and just wants something steady.
As for KC and Aniyah, insecurity has officially entered the chat and doesn’t seem to
be leaving anytime soon. Aniyah can’t shake the fear that she’s simply a comfortable option and becomes increasingly sensitive to KC’s every reaction. KC, meanwhile, feels like his words are
being constantly misinterpreted and grows frustrated that their conversations keep
circling back to the same concern. KC expresses his lingering curiosity towards Sol
who is coupled with Sincere but open to exploring the other men on the island. This,
paired with some antagonizing challenge questions, furthers Aniya’s reservations,
which are confirmed by KC and Corbin joking that Aniya is a “grandma” and that he’s
frustrated with the energy between them.
Not exactly the language of soulmates, but both feel a sense of resolve as they
dedicate their love letters to one another, reminding them of why they coupled up to
begin with. Just when we think we’re so back, KC expresses regret in not trying to
connect with Sol more as she’s sent home from the villa, and Aniya’s discovery of
this re-opens the wound.
Elsewhere, Trinity and Bryce continue looking like one of the villa’s strongest
couples. They’re clearly attracted to each other and reveal they nearly took things
further physically before deciding to slow down. In a season built on uncertainty, they
somehow continue looking surprisingly stable despite the hiccup of Bryce trying to
explore Kayda last week.
Speaking of, Zach and Kayda also deepen their connection this week after heading
to the Hideaway and sleeping together. However, even before their overnight date,
Zach accidentally created tension by suggesting they shouldn’t move too quickly
physically in case something changed between them. They sleep together and Zach
mentions the possibility of going for a bombshell post-love making more than once,
followed by some additional comments and body language that suggest he’s second
guessing their connection — even so much as encouraging Caleb to explore his own
girl. And he does! Caleb and Kayda share a steamy kiss during a challenge, and he pulls
her for quite a successful chat afterwards. We’ll see where this goes!
Then came the infamous mail challenge, which managed to detonate nearly every
unresolved issue in the villa. Kenzie received two letters: one from Caleb and one from Corbin. Caleb’s was empty because Kenzie chose to send her letter to Corbin instead. At nearly the same
time, Sincere also received two letters from Melanie and Sol. Sol’s was empty
because Sincere had chosen Melanie.
In one challenge, two connections spun the block and returned home to one another
in the name of clearing the air. By the end of the week, Sol and Gabriel were sent home, the boys immediately questioned the decision on the girls behalf, suggesting that it was a mistake to choose him for their elimination.
At this point, the villa feels less like a dating show and more like a social experiment
on what happens when everyone keeps one foot in their current couple and the other
in someone else’s bed.
This sets the stage for the drama and chaos that will ensue as we enter the phase of
Casa Amor, where each connection is tested with the challenge of temptation to find
out if the grass is greener with a new lover. While we don’t have the specifics yet, the
astrology promised a wild ride of drama, devotion, sexual chemistry, jealousy, and
everything in between.
Mars in Gemini turns flirting and gossip into sport, Mercury retrograde in Cancer
brings messy emotional communication, and Jupiter in Leo introduces spicy
confrontations between the islanders. These transits spin a love triangle of their own,
and if there’s one thing they create when they all come together? It’s some good ole reality television.
