Sagittarius Blue Moon: Love Gets Dreamy
Make us a preferred source
On May 31, 2026, the sky offers us something extraordinary and jovial, a Sagittarius Blue Moon. This is the second full moon of the month and a celestial culmination to one of the most intense months we’ve experienced in years.
Once in a Blue Moon
We opened May with a Scorpio full moon that illuminated the emotions we avoid and the desires we keep secret. Now, as the month closes, the Sagittarius Blue Moon rises to ascend us to the next level, past our desires, and towards what is possible. This Blue Moon is extra special because the last time this occurred was May 31, 1988 and the next won’t arrive until 2044.
Emotions Heighten & Dream Crystalize
Jupiter is the ruler of the Sagittarius full moon or “ the dispositor,” and is currently in Cancer, the sign of its exaltation. Exalted planets are “esteemed” and the planet, in this case Jupiter, is comfortable in that zodiac sign. This placement amplifies the moon’s power, expanding our emotional capacity and drawing luck into our love lives. But Jupiter in Cancer also magnifies feelings, so things may feel bigger than they are. Think overreacting. On the flip side, the feeling of connection with another may feel unexpectedly intense or fated.
The Sagittarius moon makes a misaligned aspect to a debilitated Mars in Taurus, asking you to pick a path. The moon’s energy (emotions and prioritizing feeling secure) is the winner since Mars is not at its strongest. This means you will need to wait until you feel that spark (fire) of inspiration in order to be able to move forward.
You may feel inspired to make a bold move in love, but something holds you back. Mars in Taurus asks you to take your time to form trust and comfortability before you commit. With the moon trine Saturn, you’ll be able trust your intuition, which can result in you building something that lasts. If you’re coupled, the opportunity to bring back the fire in your relationship is present and can help you become stronger than ever. The moon’s trine to Neptune helps you romanticize where you are headed so you stay interested. If steam runs out, you are still, at least, able to hold your vision.
A Healing Opportunity
Chiron, which moves into Taurus June 19, makes a square to Jupiter and a sextile to Mercury, bringing forward healing through conversation or expression. The opportunity to face what has brought you emotional pain, or the feeling of inadequacy will be present. If you’re single, having a trusted friend or counselor to talk to can help speed up your healing journey. If you’re coupled, this is a supportive time to have hard conversations you’ve been avoiding. Ultimately, you’ll have more clarity and wisdom about your love life, no matter what the status.
Sagittarius Blue Moon Horoscopes For All 12 Signs
Aries
This full moon illuminates your ninth house of beliefs and expansion. You’re being asked to examine the stories you tell yourself about love. Are your standards rooted in fear? A shift in perspective could open doors you thought were permanently closed. Take time to reflect before making any declarations.
Taurus
The moon lights up your eighth house of intimacy, shared resources, and transformation. Deep emotional merging is possible, but Mars in your sign is debilitated, making action feel sluggish. Although you want the feeling of closeness, especially physical, you may fear being vulnerable. Practice sharing something personal (even small) with another person more frequently to train your brain to trust.
Gemini
Your seventh house of partnerships is illuminated. A relationship dynamic is ready to shift, whether romantic or otherwise. Your planetary ruler Mercury’s supportive aspect to Chiron gives you the words you need. A healing conversation is possible, but only if you approach it with openness rather than an agenda.
Cancer
With Jupiter exalted in your sign, you are glowing with magnetic, nurturing energy. The full moon activates your sixth house of daily rhythms and self-care. Love begins at home, and within yourself. The way you show it is by forming small habits that support your overall well-being and personal growth. This also shows others how you want to be treated.
Leo
The full moon is in your sister sign illuminates your fifth house of romance, creativity, and joy. This is your moment to reconnect with the playful, passionate side of love. A Blue Moon here is rare, spicy, and romantic. Share this energy with someone special if you feel compelled to. If not, focus on leaning into an activity you love, or spending time with children.
Virgo
Your fourth house of home and emotional foundations is activated. This full moon may bring up family dynamics or past relationship patterns that are influencing your present love life. The trine to Neptune is an invitation to forgive and to set a new vision for how you show up in a relationship with another person, and/or yourself.
Libra
The third house of communication is lit up for you, and with Mercury sextile Chiron, your words carry healing power. A conversation you’ve been putting off may finally feel possible. Say what you mean, and mean what you say, but do it from a place of love or wanting to make peace with something from your past. This can be a lovely moment if you focus on what feels good.
Scorpio
After your own full moon opened the month, this Sagittarius Blue Moon activates your second house of values and self-worth. Money matters may be affecting your love life at the moment, for better or for worse. Whatever happens may inspire a new way for you to make money, or align you with activities that not only bring in cash, but that you enjoy, also.
Sagittarius
This is your full moon, and you’re being called to step into a more expansive version of yourself in love. You are feeling more optimistic and hopeful, and you know and feel who is right or wrong for you. Jupiter’s exaltation amplifies your natural luck so you can attract exciting new people, or you can bring joy and excitement to the relationship. Tell the other person “you’re welcome” in advance.
Capricorn
The twelfth house of spirituality, solitude, and hidden matters is illuminated with the full moon. Love may feel more internal than external right now. This is a time for quiet reflection on what you truly want. Your standards are changing. Neptune’s trine encourages you to dream without judgment. Let yourself imagine something softer and more expansive than what you’ve settled for before. And yes, settling within your current relationship counts.
Aquarius
Your eleventh house of community, friendships, and future visions is activated, and a house you’re naturally connected to. Love could be closer than you think, like within your circle. The Blue Moon here encourages you to look at familiar connections with fresh eyes. A friendship could deepen, or a shared vision could bring two hearts closer together.
Pisces
The tenth house of public life and long-term goals is illuminated. You shouldn’t have to pick love over ambition, or vice versa, and this full moon is here to remind you of that. With Neptune, your modern ruler, forming a beautiful trine to the moon, your intuition about love is more sharp than usual. Trust what you feel, but communicate it.
