I’m sure we all have some preconceived notions about every sign, but how much of them are based on reality? While stereotypes can be truly unfounded, some are rooted in fact. Cold, aloof, unemotional and condescending … Does that sound like an Aquarius you might know? Well, Maisy Bristol, a seasoned astrologist, sure thinks so. Let’s take a look at what stereotypes ring true for our Aquarian friends.
“Most of the time, these stereotypes are true,” Maisy says. “But it’s for different reasons than people think. Aquarius natives are certainly cold and unemotional—but that’s not on purpose. They are just very logical people and that makes them a little less in touch with their emotions.”
While Aquarians have a tough exterior, they simply take their time to think through their actions. We can’t blame them for thinking rationally—someone needs to be the brains!
You might have noticed a stubborn side to the Aquarians around you, and it’s for a good reason. “Fixed signs are stubborn, but air signs are intelligent,” she says. “So, Aquarius is stubborn about their opinions and mindset.” It must be hard to always be right. … Right?

Last, but certainly not least, we have the arrogant Aquarius. Maisy laments that “this is, unfortunately, somewhat true as well.” While Aquarian intelligence is a sought-after characteristic, most Aquarians know they’re smart. So, when “listening” to others, they may instead badger others to agree with their opinions, Maisy says.
I guess the “if you got it, flaunt it” attitude is a bit off-putting in this case.
Aquarians are known for their systematic approach to life, always reaching for the stars and unrealistic results.
Maisy explains, “the aloof side of Aquarius is also due to their robotic approach to life. But it’s only because they are so forward-thinking that they often find their minds wandering to other places. Another reason Aquarians are aloof is because they can be a bit unrealistic about achievable standards.”
Every Aquarius believes they can do anything they set their mind to—with enough rationality behind their decision, maybe they can!

Have you ever heard the expression, “don’t read a book by its cover?” Well, heed that advice when determining if Aquarians are ill-natured. Maisy suggests that “Aquarius natives aren’t ‘mean.’ In fact, they are quite friendly! The reason someone might think this is because they aren’t as friendly upfront. It takes an Aquarius some time to open up!” Give them a chance; you might be surprised!
In order to succeed, you need to believe in yourself. Strong-willed Aquarius has no problem standing up for themselves and putting their best foot forward.
