What makes this royal couple work: a soul mate bond, shared goals, or kinky bedroom romps?
The truth is, these two are incredibly well matched! They were both born in 1982, with Kate being slightly older. Their charts reveal similarities in the position of the planets and important aspects. It seems this royal pairing is truly meant to be!
Their Suns are in opposite signs, with Kate's being in Capricorn and William's in Cancer. But rather than be a problem, this helps because each has a different perspective on life.
They both have Mars, Saturn, and Pluto in Libra. In William's chart all three are spaced evenly apart. In Kate's chart, Saturn and Pluto are more closely connected, forming a tighter conjunction. It means that Kate can adopt a suitably composed mask to hide her feelings, and use it to face the world and other Royals.
Prince William has the same ability. They have a public face and a private face, yet they are both a thoroughly modern Royal couple and determined to rewrite the rule book. They will change the way Royal couples are 'supposed' to behave.
Now for some more similarities. They both have their Moon in Cancer, so they click emotionally and understand completely where the other is coming from. They are both loyal and have a strong love of family life. They will be looking forward to starting a family of their own.
They both have their Mercury in Air Signs, which helps create an intellectual rapport. Her Mercury is in Aquarius and his is in Gemini. Of the two, Kate may appear more aloof on first meeting as she has Venus in Aquarius as well. William loves to chat and adores meeting people from all walks of life. There is a trine between his Mercury and her Mars, so they can talk forever - which has to be a good thing.
William has his Venus in Taurus, conjunct Chiron and in opposition to Uranus in Sagittarius. Kate has her Venus sextile Uranus in Sagittarius. They are both freedom lovers. William has a possessive streak and experiences some pain around relationships - linked with the unexpected death of his mother in 1997. But with Kate's help he is overcoming this.
They both have Neptune in Sagittarius. With two high-powered planets in this adventure-loving sign, they need to get away on a regular basis in order to let off steam. Although they realize the need to observe protocol and behave suitably, they are generally more informal and prefer it this way. This quality comes through in their photos and in the way they are together. They need space and time alone and will make sure they get it.
Finally, they both have Jupiter in Scorpio. Kate's Jupiter trines William's Moon, too, so emotionally they are extremely well matched. They have a love of emotional depth, and are willing to explore taboos (they are probably playful in the bedroom). It seems they get on, on all levels - physically, emotionally, and intellectually.
The only negative aspect affecting their charts is her Saturn conjunct his Pluto. But as they both have this combination in their own natal horoscopes, they are equipped to handle it. Their composite chart reveals something quite different. They have a T-square with the composite Moon in Cancer at the apex, squaring Mars in Libra and the Sun conjunct Mercury in Aries. Composite Venus trines Uranus, too. The T-square reveals the potential for volatility and moodiness.
Difficulties and frustrations associated with their very public life and high profile will be released in private, and could destabilize the relationship at times. The Venus/Uranus trine suggests they will have many enforced separations due to William's public duties and job.
The pressure on them is going to be much more intense than it has ever been so far, but they both know the score. The inter-aspects between them reveal that they are more than capable of talking things through and overcoming any ups and downs. Whatever happens they have the foundation for a very successful marriage.
