Love Island USA Season 8: Week 1 Astrology Recap

Love Island USA Season 8 spoilers! What happened this week and what the stars say is next.

Three new bombshells enter the chat, and the villa responds with the most aggressive game of romantic musical chairs we’ve seen yet. Established couples face a dilemma as old as time: do you cling tighter to what you’ve built, or risk it all for something new?

This week ran on Scorpio and Sagittarius tension — a combination many of the castmates carry in their charts. On one side, islanders tried desperately to secure connections, possess their partners, and protect what felt like theirs. On the other, temptation and curiosity kept pulling everyone in the opposite direction.

Let’s get into the chaos, the confusion, the tears, and the fact that we have more than one love triangle on our hands.

Monday: Three Bombshells, One Blindfold, and Melanie’s Scorpio Intuition

The week kicks off with a slumber party kiss challenge. Each girl gets a blindfold and a paint color, then explores the male islanders’ bodies by touch alone. No sight. Just the psychological torture of knowing exactly where every other woman has been.

Melanie ping-pong kisses between Sincere and Corbin — many read it as revenge for Sincere pulling Kayda a few episodes back. She swears she had no idea Corbin was involved. Sincere doesn’t care. It was someone who wasn’t him. Her Scorpio spidey senses still clock an unfamiliar paint color, which reveals two new female bombshells: Pixie Sol and Blondie Jen. There’s also a new male bombshell — Country Caleb — over whom Melanie immediately loses her entire mind.

Tuesday: Zach Reverses Course and Trinity Runs the Villa

Trinity (Libra) has Bryce trotting around in her sunglasses and manicured nails. That’s all the confirmation we need — Libra runs every room without raising her voice. Meanwhile, Aniyah tells KC (Aries) he failed to reassure her — this after he proudly announced he felt “blessed” to kiss every woman in the challenge. Classic Aries energy: bold, unapologetic, and somehow surprised when it backfires.

Zach (Scorpio), bothered by Kayda doing too much, pulls bombshell Jen for a chat — notable, since he told Kenzie blondes weren’t his type. He then announces to the bombshells that he’s “closed off.” Hours later, he reverses. Staying open feels right now. Being closed off feels claustrophobic. Make it make sense. Scorpios will have you thinking you’ve figured them out, and then they do this.

Wednesday: Sincere and Sol Kiss — and the Love Triangle Begins

The chattiest episode of the season. Sincere (Aries) tells Melanie he only wants her. KC (Aries) tells Aniyah he gets it and will do better, then immediately tells the boys Sol looks like his ex “in a good way.” Melanie had a literal nightmare about a green-haired bombshell stealing Sincere. She woke up covered in green paint — and currently losing her man to Sol. The woman is psychic. She’s a Scorpio. Of course she is.

KC becomes an unlikely voice of reason. He tells Melanie she was absolutely playing games during the challenge. After she admits she’s never been with a genuinely good man, he hits her with “hurt people hurt people.” Both KC and Sincere are Aries, which explains everything: they give the clearest, most direct advice to everyone around them and then do the most chaotic possible thing in their own love lives. Clear-eyed friendship counselors. Completely reckless in their own romantic decisions.

Sincere and Sol’s connection deepens. He talks about being the eldest child. She shares that her father passed two years ago. They share their first kiss — entirely by choice, outside of a challenge. That matters here. Kenzie (Sagittarius) shares a bed with Corbin but keeps gravitating toward Caleb — a Southern gentleman with country roots who feels like an adventure waiting to happen. Very on brand. Gabriel (Virgo) kisses both Jen and Sol. Sol finds Gabriel’s pheromones considerably less appealing.

The episode ends with Melanie walking in on Sincere and Sol post-makeout. Sol sprints out giggling. The love triangle opens for business. Sincere tells Melanie she has nothing to worry about. He tells Sol he wants to keep exploring. He kisses Sol all day and sleeps beside Melanie at night. One thing we know for a fact: Sincere loves himself a Scorpio woman.

Thursday: Melanie Makes Her Move and Kenzie Gets Hurt

Kenzie (Sagittarius) tells Corbin she enjoyed her chat with Caleb. Corbin isn’t bothered — he’s still interested in Melanie, and Sincere has given her plenty of reasons to be available. Sincere gives Melanie a public reassurance kiss, extremely staged for Sol’s benefit. Then he pulls Sol into Soul Ties for more kissing minutes later. He builds genuine intimacy with Sol in private. He performs the cat-and-mouse with Melanie for the whole villa.

Melanie eventually pulls Corbin, declines his kiss because she needs to talk to Kenzie first, then tells Kenzie she plans to pursue him anyway. Kenzie is hurt. The same friend she’d been venting to now moves on her partner. Two Sagittariuses in this villa, and both of them are about to learn that honesty without timing is just damage.

Bryce (Cancer) asks Zach’s permission to pull Kayda — his reason being insecurity about whether he’s Trinity’s type, despite Trinity being visibly, enthusiastically into him. Cancers spiral in private and then make the most public possible decision about it. Viewers immediately clock that Bryce once admitted dating someone just to get closer to their friend. Trinity isn’t interested. Kayda isn’t interested. The whole thing makes Bryce look considerably sillier than the insecurity that started it.

Friday: Sol Breaks Down, Beatriz Gets Dumped

A chaotic “Who’s Most Likely” game kicks off the episode. Sweet answers earn a kiss. Sour ones earn a pie to the face. The biggest moment: Sol breaks into tears after the boys vote her Most Likely to Break Girl Code. Viewer reaction splits. Some find it confusing — she signed up to be a bombshell. Others suspect off-camera dynamics don’t make the edit. The most likely explanation: Sol only invested in Sincere and built no real connections elsewhere. In a game where social capital is everything, that leaves her exposed. One person carries most of the responsibility for this love triangle. His name might as well be Mr. Sinister.

America’s recoupling vote drops — the app crashed earlier from record traffic. America pairs Caleb with Kenzie (she can barely contain herself), Gabriel with Jen, and Sol with Sincere. That leaves Corbin choosing between Beatriz and Melanie. He picks Melanie. Beatriz heads straight to Aftersun.

Melanie’s speech wins over the room. She says she’s done fighting with Sol — a quiet admission that she’d been redirecting her frustration with Sincere onto Sol all along. The episode’s most emotional moment belongs to Beatriz (Libra) and Gabriel (Virgo). They share a tearful goodbye in Spanish. Libra rules beauty and connection. Virgo notices everything quietly, and usually doesn’t say so until it’s too late. The conversation reveals more depth than their edit ever suggested. Viewers notice. A little more confessional time, and America might have voted very differently.

Astrology Forecast: What the Stars Say Is Coming Next

This Sunday, June 14, a New Moon in Gemini aligns with Uranus and reaches culmination over the weekend. Expect it to shake up friendships, alliances, and social decision-making across the villa. Gossip, new information, and surprise revelations are all on the table.

Meanwhile, Venus enters Leo, turning the heat all the way up on romance. Leo loves grand gestures, dramatic declarations, public displays of affection, and putting lovers on pedestals.

The islanders need to get honest about what they want — and fast. Mercury retrograde in Cancer arrives later this month. Cancer doesn’t let unresolved feelings stay buried. The choices they make now could look completely different by the season’s next chapter.
