The fabulous, the good, the bad, and the ugly truth behind the unseen "patterns" of romantic connection.
Eastern sages have known for millennia that certain people seek out each other and are strongly attached. A "karmic connection" is a powerful psychic connection, a tangible chemistry if you will, between two people.
These connections can occur between spouses, parents, best friends, work colleagues, and even between a human and a beloved pet; however, those that occur in a sexual or love relationship can be especially mind-boggling.
There are certain love patterns that are predictable in Chinese astrology. Each of the twelve animal signs form relationship patterns with other signs. When certain signs come together, they can be particularly favorable or unfavorable.
Twilight's Trine Lovers
In the Twilight
series, new teen in town Bella (1978 born Kristen Stewart) falls for classmate Edward (1986 born Robert Pattinson), a vampire. Eager for a glimpse into their off-screen relationship, fans grapple to find out news of their personal relationship. They scrutinize the actors' body language in paparazzi photos and hungrily buy up celebrity magazines that feature the two.
Chinese Astrology offers an interesting viewpoint on their relationship. Kristen's 1978 Horse birth year and Robert's 1986 Tiger birth year connect the two of them in a harmonious "trine" or "triangle of compatibility" relationship. The Tiger, Horse (and Dog) comprise the trine of ambition and motivation.
Birth signs in trine form a mutual admiration society - they go together like peanut butter and jelly and complement each other in too many ways to list.
Some other famous trine couples include: Arnold Schwarzenegger (Pig) and Maria Shriver (Goat), Tom Cruise (Tiger) and Katie Holmes (Horse), and Rhea Perlman (Rat) and Danny DeVito (Monkey).
Soul Mate Connections
Two people who find themselves in the extraordinary soul mate relationship are truly karmicly connected and share some deep spiritual bonds. Those who connect in this way have the potential to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary.
Classic couples in a soul mate connection include: John Lennon (Dragon) and Yoko Ono (Rooster), Jim Carrey (Ox) and Jenny McCarthy (Rat), Jesse James (Rooster) and Sandra Bullock (Dragon), and Elizabeth Taylor (Monkey) and Richard Burton (Snake).
A "good news/bad news" mixed connection is found with those in a "Peach blossom" or "love plum" pattern. Peach blossom connections are responsible for torrid love affairs, unforgettable romances, and romantic "soap operas."
Two people in a peach blossom relationship can be thrust to the top of love's mountain or slain in the valley of heartbreak. Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis fall into this Chinese astrological connection.
Signs in Opposition
At best, signs in opposition can "open the money vault" for each other and can be helpful financially. At worst, signs in direct opposition repel each other due to a clash in core personality. When two signs in opposition hook up romantically it doesn't bode well for the union.
Signs in opposition often are initially attracted to each other, but soon suffer tensions and difficulties. Some famous couples in opposition include: Charlie Sheen (Snake) and Denise Richards (Pig) and Whitney Houston (Rabbit) and Bobby Brown (Rooster).
Beyond the oppositions are those signs locked in "karmic combat" with one another. These are the worst-of-the-worst sign combinations. No matter how hard these two try, compromise seems beyond their reach. Samantha Ronson (Snake) and Lindsay Lohan (Tiger), Elvis Presley (Dog) and Priscilla Beaulieu (Rooster) fall into this pattern.
Lovers of the Same Sign
same sign combinations are compatible, such as two Rat year people like Ben Affleck (1972) and Jennifer Garner (1972); but other same sign combinations are not
recommended, such as two Rooster year born women, like former lovers Ellen DeGeneres (1969) and Anne Heche (1969).
